Refund policy

Beats and drumkits are digital content delivered instantly. This explains when there is a refund and when there is not, and why.

Last updated:

Waiver of the right of withdrawal

EU consumer law gives you fourteen days to withdraw from a distance purchase, but makes an exception for digital content delivered immediately: if you agree to start the download at once, you waive that right.

By completing the purchase you are expressly requesting immediate delivery and accepting that, once the file is downloaded, the right of withdrawal is lost. You are told this before paying.

When you do get a refund

If the file is corrupted, is the wrong beat, or does not match what was advertised, you get a full refund or a replacement file — your choice.

If you accidentally bought the same beat with the same licence twice, the duplicate is refunded.

If you paid but could not download anything because of a technical fault, you get a refund.

When you do not

There is no refund for changing your mind, for the beat not fitting your song, or for picking the wrong licence. That is what the full-length previews are for: listen to the whole track before buying.

If you picked the wrong licence, message me: no refund, but you can move up to the higher one by paying the difference.

Mixing and mastering

As bespoke work, there is no refund once the work has started. If you cancel before it begins, you get a full refund.

If you are not happy with the result, we work through revisions until we agree — that is the remedy, rather than a refund.

How to request a refund

Write to prodbyleftbehind@gmail.com with the email used for the purchase and what went wrong. You get a reply within 48 hours.

Where a refund applies, it goes back to the original payment method and typically takes 5 to 10 working days to appear, depending on your bank.
